RYBSA Opening Day 2024

HELLO RYBSA FAMILIES!
The day is almost here and we have final preparations being made for OPENING DAY 2024!
This is a tradition for RYBSA to have all the players parade onto the field for Opening
Day ceremonies!
***ROUTE CHANGE***ROUTE CHANGE***
Please read carefully!
The parade route has changed for this year-We will NOT be assembling at Raynham
Middle School. This year we have had to make an alternative parade route. Our
community friends from Edgewood Pool and Tennis Club have graciously allowed us to
start our STAGING process from their grounds and our Raynham Water Dept have
allowed us to use their drive as means of drop off-Thank you to all!
PLEASE BE AWARE!!! There is absolutely NO PARKING available at Edgewood
for parents to leave their vehicles. We are requiring that all families drop their
players off at Raynham Water Dept. for the beginning of the parade.
AGAIN... THERE IS NO PARKING AVAILABLE at Edgewood Complex. We are
going to have a lot of movement along the Edgewood driveway for staging.
We ask that you PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW TIME INSTRUCTIONS for
dropping off players. There will be volunteers at Raynham Water Dept. &
Edgewood to assist in getting all the players to where they need to be/with the
team they need to be with.
When arriving to drop off your player(s) please follow the traffic route (picture
attached to this email)-once you pull into water dept. parking lot immediately turn
right and drive around the building-volunteers will assist in drop off and
escorting of players.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW TIMES.
07:45 am - All T-Ball, Farm Baseball, and Farm Softball COACHES and parade
vehicles ONLY arrive at EDGEWOOD for staging. There will be RYBSA volunteers
assisting in the staging and location for all COACHES and VEHICLES. MANAGERS
AND COACHES!!!!
Please have your Coaching Staff. The Coaches and Managers will be responsible for
ensuring all players are accounted for once they begin arriving. Each team will need 2
volunteers/coaches to march alongside the vehicles in the parade.

08:00 am - ALL MINOR and MAJOR and JBR baseball and softball Teams/Players and
coaches arrive at Raynham Water Dept.
NOTE: There is NO PARKING at EDGEWOOD. Coaches and players should make
alternative plans to be dropped off.
Please ensure you drop off quickly to prevent a major tie up in traffic. Volunteers from
RYBSA will direct players and coaches where to go.
08:30 am - ALL T-Ball and Farm Players will arrive at Raynham Water Dept. and be
dropped off to be staged with their team and their parade vehicles.
Note: There is NO PARKING at EDGEWOOD.
Parents will follow the instructions laid out by RYBSA volunteers to ensure their players
are with their team. PLEASE let your player know what level they play with. A coach
and volunteer from RYBSA will be there to assist in the drop off. Please be advised that
the Volunteer that assists your player with getting to his team will walk your child all the
way to the appropriate coach, team, and vehicle.
IF you choose to stay with your player until the parade begins, please be aware there is
NO PARKING available at EDGEWOOD, nor along the main road leading into
EDGEWOOD.
09:00 am - PARADE BEGINS
Please note that the times are relatively close in proximity. We are allowing for 30min
between each level being dropped off. We ask that you please be patient, and
cooperate with RYBSA volunteers as we stage the players for the parade. We do not
want any individuals injured as we move people around. Please pay close attention to
the volunteers as they direct vehicles, players, and coaches through the staging area.
The walk from EDGEWOOD to the RYBSA complex is approx. 1mi. T-ball and Farm
players will be in vehicles with coaches walking alongside. Parents are welcome to
watch the parade as it travels down Pleasant Street toward the Complex. The parade
will be entering the Merrill Scholl parking lot and staging again on the BURKE Baseball
Field. Please do not follow the team onto Burke Field, we have a lot of vehicles moving
and volunteers will direct everyone where to go.
All spectators are encouraged to watch the parade as it progresses through the street
and when at the complex are asked to stand alongside the fences and in the stands
outside of FIELD 4 (The one with the Snack Shack).
All teams will be called onto FIELD 4 and will assemble in the infield for the ceremony.
Please do not enter or stand on FIELD 4

PARENTS: Please refrain from entering BURKE FIELD and standing along the outfield
fence to Field 4. We will have RYBSA volunteers at the field to assist players and to
make sure everyone is accounted for. This is a VERY fast-moving process, so we ask
that you be patient with us and your cooperation is very much appreciated.
On Field 4, the following will be happening.
